All University websites are required to be compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act and are encouraged to adhere to Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 (specifically Subpart B, 1194.22 Web-based intranet and internet information and applications).

While Aurora’s central themes are tested and kept accessible by ITS web developers, individual webmasters are responsible for keeping the content of their pages and sites accessible. Documents that are linked to from a website need to be accessible, see how to make documents accessible. If you have questions please contact the ITS Accessibility coordinator.

Before the site goes live, it will be reviewed by University Communications, the Department Communicators (if applicable) as well as ITS Accessibility to ensure the site is Accessible and following the Standard Guidelines

To avoid delays in the site going live, please make sure you have addressed any Standards and Accessibility issues before sending the Site Review and Go Live Request

Sites will NOT go live until they have been approved, please allow time for this process (1-2 weeks).
