In order to connect an Internet of Things (IoT) device to the UConn network, you must register your device by providing the device's MAC address. Every network-connected device has an IP address and a unique MAC address that identifies it on the network. This article covers how to find the MAC address on devices commonly registered with ITS. .
The MAC address, sometimes referred to as a Physical Address, can be found in the device’s About, System Information, or Network Settings page. A MAC address comprises 12 letters and numbers typically separated with colons or hyphens, such as xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx or xx-xx-xx-xx-xx-xx.

On the home screen, open Settings by finding and tapping the gear icon. Click GeneralTap Wi-Fi.Select the About tab. Tap the blue inext to the WiFi network you’re trying to connect to Find the Wi-Fi Address listing at the bottom. This is the MAC Address of the device.
