Step by Step: Editing your Profile

January 2023: There is currently an issue with using your microphone to record the pronunciation while using Safari browser. Please use a different browser if you wish to record a pronunciation.

  1. Navigate to lms.uconn.edu. This is the shortlink to HuskyCT.

  2. Sign in with your NetID and NetID password if prompted.

  3. Click on your name in the left-hand menu.

  4. Hover your cursor over your name, pronunciation, email, or pronouns and then click on the pencil icon. All these edit buttons open the same menu.

  5. Within this Contact Information popup,

    1. You may add an Additional Name. If the name you would like to be called does not match the one that auto-populates, you may add it here.

    2. You may add a phonetic spelling of your name in the Pronunciation text field.

    3. You may click on Record name pronunciation and use your microphone to record your own voice speaking your name.

    4. You may click on the Select your pronouns drop-down to select your pronouns from the list. You may select more than one item in the list.

    5. If you wish, you may continue further down this popup to continue filling in information but remember that you are not required to fill in any of these fields.

  6. Click Done to save your changes.
