Fixing the Red 'x' icon
Click the OneDrive for Business icon in the notification area at the far right or bottom bottom right of the Windows taskbar.
You might If you don’t see the OneDrive cloud icon you may need to click the Show hidden icons upwards arrow next to the notification area to see the OneDrive icon, or click the Windows menu and start typing "select which icons" to display the notification area settings option, and then show Microsoft OneDrive. If the icon still does not appear in the notification area, OneDrive might not be running. Click the Windows menu, type “OneDrive” in the search box, and then click OneDrive in the search resultsthe hidden icons.
If you have both a personal OneDrive and OneDrive for Business accounts, you may see two icons: one white (this is your "Personal" OneDrive) and one blue (your organization's OneDrive for Business).
If you see a red circle with white cross over your OneDrive icon, select the icon and Select the OneDrive icon and select view sync problems. A dialog box to view the error.
The sync problems error window will describe the error and provide the resolutionproblem and a possible fix.
If there is no red circle, select the icon and label that most closely matches your own.

If you do not see any OneDrive icons, press (or click Start in older versions of Windows), type “OneDrive” in the search box, and then click OneDrive (or Microsoft OneDrive or OneDrive for Business in older versions).

Other Sync Problems
Ensure the OneDrive Program is Running
Click on the Windows icon or Windows Search bar in the bottom right, and search for “OneDrive”.
If the OneDrive folder appears in the search results, click on the search result to open the program.
OneDrive should now be running and will attempt to sync.

Installing or Reinstalling OneDrive
If problems persist re-installing OneDrive may help.
Uninstalling
Navigate to Control Panel by searching for “Control Panel” in the Windows Search bar in the bottom left.
Select Uninstall a Program.
Find “Microsoft OneDrive” in the list of programs. Double-click to start the uninstaller.
Re-installing
Navigate to Microsoft’s OneDrive download website: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/onedrive/download
Click Download to download the installer file.
Run the downloaded installer and follow the prompts.
