To create a journal for your students follow the steps below.

Journal Through the Journals Tool Page

  1. In the course where you would like to add a journal, navigate to Course Management → Course Tools →

    Journals 

    Journals.

      1. Give the journal a name that both you and your students can understand.

      2. [Optional] Write instructions for the students. This can include a prompt or guidelines for the students.

      1. If you would like to limit the availability for a certain date and/or time, select the

    6. If you would like to grade journal entries, select the "Grade: Points Possible
