In order to connect an Internet of Things (IoT) device to the UConn network, you must register your device by providing the device's MAC address. Every network-connected device has an IP address and a unique MAC address that identifies it on the network. This article covers how to find the MAC address on devices commonly registered with ITS.

Finding the Wired MAC AddressClick on the Spotlight icon in the top right-hand corner of the screen and type in Network Utility. Select Network Utility from the drop-down menu. - To determine the Wired MAC Address, select Ethernet from the network interface drop-down menu.
- The device’s MAC Address will be listed under Hardware Address.
