Students, faculty, and staff can add captions to videos in Kaltura.

If you used a transcript to create the video, you can use Kaltura's Alignment Service to create captions.

Captioning Individual Videos

To caption individual videos,

Log into
Log in to HuskyCT.
Click on My Kaltura Media. Alternatively,
1. Navigate to Mediaspace.
2. Click
  on
  Guest.
3. Click My Media to log in.
Click on the title of the video to which you wish to add captioning.
Below the video on the right-hand side, click Actions.
Select Caption and Enrich.
Note: The Mechanical 70 to
80% option
80% option is the only option currently configured
,
and is free of charge.
You should edit
Edit the captions after they are created so that they are ADA compliant, which is close to 99% accurate.
Click
on
Submit to confirm your selection. The captions should be added within 30 minutes.

are complete.
Once your captions are complete,

To caption multiple videos,

At the upper right, click Actions.
Select Caption and Enrich.
