Faculty, students, and staff can use the UConn VPN on machines they do not have admin permissions for.

Installing Pulse VPN from the Microsoft Store in Windows
- Navigate to the Microsoft Store.
- Click the Start symbol in the bottom corner of your screen.
- Enter Store in the search box.
- Select Microsoft Store from the search results.
- Search for Pulse Secure in the Microsoft Store.
- Click Get.
- If prompted to log in, click No Thanks.
- After installation, navigate to your VPN Settings.
- Click Add VPN Connection.
- Select the Pulse Secure option from the VPN Provider field.
- Use a label of your choice for the Connection Name.
- Enter https://vpn.uconn.edu for the Server Name.
- Click Save.
- Click Connect.
- Enter your NetID and password when prompted to do so.

If you receive the message shown in the image below, this means the connection requires Duo Two-Factor Authentication and will not work using the above method. You will need to install the full Pulse Secure Client to connect.
