Installing Pulse VPN

In order to To get direct access, you must first connect to UConn VPN.

  1. Go Navigate to the Microsoft store.
    1. Click the Start symbol in the bottom corner of your screen.
    2. Enter store in the search box. 
    3. Select Microsoft Store from the search results.

  2. Search for " Pulse Secure in the Microsoft Store." 
  3. Select Click on the Get button.

  4. If prompted to login, select "click on No Thanks."
  5. After installinstallation, go navigate to your VPN Settings.

  6. Click on Add VPN Connection.
  7. Select the Pulse Secure with the following:Name: Just option from the VPN Provider field.
    1. Use a label of your choice Server name: for the connection name
    2. Enter https://vpn.uconn.edu

    Save and click
    1. .edu for the server name

  8. Click on the Save button.
  9. Click Connect.
  10. Enter your NetID and password when prompted to do so.

If you receive the following message shown in the image below, this means the connection requires Duo Two-Factor Authentication and will not work using this the above method.   Please You will need to install the full Pulse Secure Client to connect.
