If you would like to convert a video to an audio file

Extract Audio on a Windows Computer

  1. Download your Recording (or other video).
  2. The recommended program for Windows users is GoldWave. With this program, the video does not have to be viewed in order to extract the audio unlike other programs. Click here to download GoldWave - Free Version. For this process, you do not need the paid version.
  3. Download, install, then open GoldWave. Close the Introduction box if it pops up.
  4. Click on File → Open

  5. Navigate to and open the .mp4 file that you downloaded (your Webex recording).
  6. You will now see the waveform of the recording.
  7. Click on File → Save As

  8. Save the file as an appropriate audio file type; .mp3 is recommended.

Extract Audio on a Mac Computer

  1. Download your Recording (or other video).
  2. Open QuickTime and open the recording.
  3. Click on File → Export → Audio Only...
  4. Give the file a name and choose where to save it.
  5. Click Save.
